The Atlanta Falcons chose after Week 1 to move on from Younghoe Koo.
In Week 9, that decision reared its ugly head.
Parker Romo had an extra point to tie the game with the New England Patriots after Drake London's third touchdown catch, this one a one-handed magic trick.
But Romo missed the extra point.
So with less than five minutes left, the Falcons trailed by a point rather than tying the game.

Why is Parker Romo kicking for the Falcons and not Younghoe Koo?
The Falcons held a kicker competition during Week 2, and Romo won it.
Atlanta waited a week to cut Koo, but they eventually did, and he's now on the Giants' practice squad.
Last season, Romo had a stint with the Minnesota Vikings in which he made 11-of-12 field goals.
Koo had been the Falcons' kicker since 2019. He actually made his first try at a game-tying kick in Week 1, but the Buccaneers had used a timeout just before the snap to ice him, and on his second try, he missed wide right.
He had his worst NFL season last year, making only 73.5% of his field goal attempts. Koo had never been below 86% for a season before that.
That's why the Falcons moved on. But there's a decent chance Koo wouldn't have missed that point after in Week 9.
