Why Leonardo DiCaprio and Vittoria Ceretti’s romance is ‘different’ as actor considers ‘serious future’ with girlfriend

Vittoria Ceretti may be the key to ending Leonardo DiCaprio’s eternal bachelorhood.

“This relationship with Vittoria does feel different and more serious,” an insider told People Tuesday after the couple attended the 2026 Oscars together.

“He genuinely cares for her. They may not be ready to get married, but for the first time, Leo is open to a serious future.” 

Ceretti, 27, also appeals to DiCaprio, 51, because she “has her own life” and is “very independent,” which is important for when the actor is away filming or “has long days on set,” the source added.

The “Titanic” star’s friends have also noted that he’s “much more openly affectionate” with the model than he’s been with any of his other girlfriends,

A rep for the actor wasn’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.

The couple, who were first romantically linked in August 2023, proved they were serious when they attended the 2026 Oscars on Sunday night.

While Ceretti and DiCaprio shied away from posing together on the red carpet, they were photographed inside the venue.

They were shown on the big screen during the opening monologue when host Conan O’Brien joked that the “Inception” star was “the king of memes.”

O’Brien asked DiCaprio to turn to the camera and do a meme of “that feeling when you didn’t agree to this.”

Immediately, the “Wolf on Wall Street” star flashed a funny face and Ceretti laughed beside him.

DiCaprio was nominated for best actor for his role in the Paul Thomas Anderson-directed movie as Bob Ferguson in “One Battle After Another.”

Other nominees included Ethan Hawke for his role in “Blue Moon,” Timothée Chalamet for “Marty Supreme”, and Michael B. Jordan for “Sinners.” The award ultimately went to Jordan.

Over the years, DiCaprio has only brought a few dates to the Oscars, including model Gisele Bündchen in 2005 and Camila Morrone in 2020.

DiCaprio, meanwhile, tends to be low-profile with his relationships, though he’s often spotted being affectionate with Ceretti and even took her as his date to Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s nupitals in Venice, Italy, last summer.

The “Departed” star has a history of being romantically linked to much-younger women, including Nina Agdal, who was 25 when she and DiCaprio split in 2017 after a year of dating.

He’s also dated Morrone for four years, and they split in 2022 after the latter turned 25. He then briefly got cozy with Gigi Hadid, now 30, for a year in 2022.
