Algeria has a proud footballing history, and its presence at the World Cup is a good thing.
What to know about Algeria at World Cup
The national team's current most famous player is Riyad Mahrez, who rose to prominence as part of the Leicester City team that shocked the world to win the English Premier League a decade ago. Mahrez went on to play at Manchester City before moving on to the Saudi Pro League.
Algeria's draw is tricky, because they'll open the group stage against defending world champion Argentina, which is led by Lionel Messi.
The Desert Foxes will then match up with the country of Jordan before closing the group stage against Austria.
There are definitely paths for Algeria to advance to the knockout rounds.
Lawrence, Kansas will definitely be rooting for them.
