The Buffalo Bills won't have wide receiver Keon Coleman on the field for the Week 11 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Coleman won't be playing on Sunday versus Tampa Bay, with the reason being a coach's decision.
Cover 1 was the first to report the news that Coleman would be a healthy scratch on Saturday.
Here's the explanation for the decision, per Schultz.
"I’m told it’s not performance-based — Coleman actually had a strong week of practice — but the team wants to see more from him in other areas," Schultz reported.
After entering the season with a ton of hype, Coleman has had a very disappointing season thus far and has failed to take the step forward the Bills were expecting.
This is clearly performance-based, regardless of what Schultz reports. Buffalo is obviously not happy with how Coleman has played or else he'll be on the field.
The decision to sit Coleman comes on the heels of the Bills elevating Gabe Davis and promoting Mecole Hardman, both of whom figure to have a role in Week 11.
As for Coleman, it fair to say his standing with the Bills is on shaky ground, as it should be after what we've seen of him in 2025.
