"He can shoot it."
That's what ESPN's Jay Bilas said during Wednesday night's second round of the 2026 NBA Draft about Duke's Isaiah Evans.
Evans went with the 33rd overall pick, which will actually go to the Minnesota Timberwolves -- they acquired that selection from the Brooklyn Nets in the Julius Randle trade.
But it felt like a bit of a slide that Evans fell.
He was in the green room, didn't get picked, and didn't come back for the second round.
Evans is now going to the league.

Why didn't Isaiah Evans get drafted until 33rd pick?
Evans is lacking secondary skills to make him worthy of a first-round pick, at least how the teams see it.
His best skill, an NBA-ready one, is his perimeter shooting. Evans should be able to show up on day one and make outside shots.
But he's slight of frame, without big-time handle or playmaking skill.
If all he is is a shooter, that can be useful. But if he can't defend or create for others, it makes it tougher to play him big minutes.
He can be a volume 3-point shooter. Minnesota is surely glad he made it to pick 33.
