Most of the talk coming into the 2026 NBA Draft was about the first overall pick and how AJ Dybantsa and Darryn Peterson were going to be the top stars from this class. However, there are some potential stars outside of the top two.
Many would say that Cameron Boozer, who is now with the Memphis Grizzlies, is a potential star. Some people believe that Caleb Wilson is also a star in the making, something that the new Chicago Bulls forward believes as well.
Caleb Wilson remains confident he will be the Bulls' next big star
Ahead of the 2026 Draft, people have gotten to see how good Wilson is. He has elite athleticism and physical tools, but he is also superb with his defensive IQ and ability. The offense is a bit behind, but it seems Wilson is hungry enough to keep working on his game.
The Bulls have needed a star for a long time. They have had years with Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan, but they have not had that potential star since they had former MVP Derrick Rose.

Wilson is aware that the Bulls have needed a player who can save them from mediocrity. He seems prepared to fulfill that role, even though the rest of the league does not expect the Bulls to be good for the next few seasons.
"They’re getting a dog. It’s that simple. I’m going to do whatever it takes to win. I’m going to play as hard as I can and create opportunities for myself and others more than anyone else who’s playing in the NBA," Wilson said to Stephen A. Smith on ESPN's First Take.
Those are some big statements to make, but Wilson has confidence in himself. Some players lack this kind of confidence, which is good because he wants to be the franchise cornerstone who takes the Bulls back to the promised land.
