The San Antonio Spurs pulled off an epic Game 1 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder in double overtime even without De'Aaron Fox.
It sounds like they'll have to do it without Fox in Game 2 on Wednesday, too. ESPN's Shams Charania reports that Fox is out.
It's not ideal for the Spurs, but their core group has proven they can win without Fox.
Stephon Castle was already a rising star, and in this postseason, Dylan Harper has looked like he deserves that standard, too.
With Castle and Harper in the backcourt, along with a talented assortment of wings, the Spurs are just fine without Fox.

Why isn't De'Aaron Fox playing tonight?
Fox is missing out for the second game of this series for the same injury reason he missed Game 1.
The speedy lefty point guard is dealing with a right high ankle sprain, according to Charania.
Fox last played in the final game of the series win over Minnesota, when he scored 21 points with nine assists in 24 minutes of the blowout victory while shooting 8-for-10 from the floor.
He was originally listed as questionable for Game 2 before Charania's tweet less than an hour before tip ruled him out.
That suggests Fox may be getting closer, but it's hard to know for sure.
For now, the Spurs will proceed without him.
