Why Bradley Beal isn't playing tonight for Clippers vs. Warriors with injury news

The Los Angeles Clippers announced Monday afternoon that Bradley Beal will be listed as OUT for Tuesday night’s matchup against the Golden State Warriors, as he continues to deal with back soreness.

Beal also sat out of the team’s 114–107 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night, marking his second consecutive absence. His most recent appearance came during the Clippers’ 129–102 victory against the Phoenix Suns on Friday, October 24th, where he tallied six points, two assists, and one rebound in 20 minutes of play.

The 32-year-old vet is averaging 5.5 points in 20 minutes per game. 

The Clippers are hoping this latest setback doesn’t mirror the trend fans have seen from Beal over the past few seasons. Since the 2021–22 campaign, the veteran guard has appeared in just 196 of a possible 328 regular-season games, battling a variety of injuries along the way. That durability concern was part of why Los Angeles signed Beal to a two-year, $11 million deal this past offseason — a short-term, low-risk move for a proven scorer.

Currently the oldest team in the NBA, the Clippers are expected to tread carefully through the 2025–26 season as they manage health across their veteran-heavy roster. Beal’s next opportunity to return will come Friday, October 31st, when Los Angeles faces the New Orleans Pelicans.
