Who won UEFA Women's Champions League final? Score, result from Arsenal vs. Barcelona in 2025 match

4 hours ago 1

Arsenal and Barcelona met in the final of the UEFA Women's Champions League in 2025.

The Gunners were seeking their second ever title in the biggest domestic competition in the women's European game, while Barca were in search of their third consecutive triumph.

It was remarkable that Arsenal had even reached this stage after a difficult start to the 2024/25 season, and there was no doubt that the Catalans were favourites heading into the contest at Estadio Jose Alvalade in Lisbon, Portugal.

Pere Romeu's side had already secured a sixth consecutive La Liga title and had dispatched Women's Super League champions Chelsea 8-2 on aggregate in the semifinals.

Who won UEFA Women's Champions League final?

Arsenal won the 2025 UEFA Women's Champions League final after beating Barcelona 1-0.

Stina Blackstenius scored the only goal of the game in the 74th minute, firing low into the bottom-left corner after being played in by Beth Mead.

The Gunners produced a disciplined defensive performance in the closing stages to keep the holders at arm's length and become champions of Europe for the second time.

Arsenal thought they had gone ahead through an own goal from Irina Paredes midway through the first half, but an offside in the build-up saw the goal disallowed following a review.

Barca controlled possession in their usual manner but found it difficult to create meaningful openings against a strong Arsenal defence. Aitana Bonmati twice tested goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar, and Ewa Pajor nodded over under pressure with perhaps the best of their chances.

Substitute Blackstenius showed greater composure when finishing from around 12 yards out after Mead's pass — pass or shot, Arsenal will not care — had presented her with a rare sight of goal.

"This is a team performance," the match-winner said on TNT Sports after the match. "We've done it from the start. I'm so proud of everyone. They've done it for me."
