Just a few months ago, many college football fans expected the 2025 Heisman Trophy race to be led by flashier star names — Arch Manning, Jeremiah Smith and Cade Klubnik were all among the top preseason picks to hoist the award given to the sport's best player. Flash forward to December, and a group of preseason underdogs are now the finalists to join college football's legends with a Heisman Trophy.

The winner of the award will be announced in New York City during Saturday night’s ceremony, with three quarterbacks and a running back vying for the honor thanks to their 2025 accomplishments.

Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza and Ohio State quarterback Julian Sayin, who faced off in the Big Ten Championship, will be in New York ahead of their College Football Playoff runs. The other finalists are Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia and Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love, two of the most impactful offensive players in the sport this season.

Who will win the 2025 Heisman Trophy? The Sporting News is tracking live updates from the ceremony in New York City. Follow along below for full results from the voting, as well as a breakdown of how the finalists stack up heading into Saturday night.
