The View‘s table welcomed a guest co-host this week in the midst of Joy Behar‘s absence.

Kara Swisher joined the Hot Topics table on Wednesday (June 3) and returned today to chat with co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin.

The ABC daytime talk show has welcomed guest co-hosts in the past, recently bringing back The View alum Elisabeth Hasselbeck and other guest co-hosts like Amanda Carpenter, Sheryl Underwood, Whitney Cummings, and Savannah Chrisley to fill in for Griffin while she was on maternity leave earlier this year.

Who is On The View Today?

As we mentioned above, Kara Swisher filled in for Behar on the June 3 and June 4 episodes of The View. Swisher is a tech journalist and the host of the On with Kara Swisher podcast, which is distributed by Vox Media Podcast Network. The 63 year old also leads the CNN docuseries Kara Swisher Wants to Live Forever, which is available to stream on the CNN website.

Where is Joy Behar On The View?

Behar’s absence on Thursday was likely not new news to fans of The View. The comedian had shared on The View‘s Behind the Table podcast that she would be away from the show for two weeks to travel abroad and work on her play My First Ex Husband. She clarified on last Friday’s (May 29) episode of The View that this trip was “not a hiatus” from The View, and that she will be “back in two weeks.”
