UConn was on the ropes in the 2026 Elite Eight. The Huskies went into halftime trailing No. 1 Duke 44-29. Head coach Dan Hurley must have given quite the halftime speech, because UConn stormed back as the game was winding down. 

With less than 10 seconds left in the game, the Huskies forced a turnover and true freshman guard Braylon Mullins hit the shot of his life and drained a nearly half-court three to take a one-point lead with less than a second on the clock. 

While the shot itself was epic, the reactions caught were just as incredible. One of the best came from Hurley's own mother, who was found stunned in the crowd. She clearly couldn't believe what she had seen, and the camera caught a very clear NSFW message in her state of disbelief.

Who is Dan Hurley's mom?

Hurley's mom is Christine Hurley, not to be confused with the stand-up comedian of the same name. Christine largely focused on raising her children after she and her husband, Bob Hurley, had three together. She supported his career as a basketball coach, with reports suggesting she kept score for him during his games. 

While Bob Sr. is pretty well-known in basketball circles, Christine has largely stayed out of the spotlight. That is until her reaction to Mullins' buzzer-beater. She also did an interview with Andy Katz after UConn won the 2023 national championship.

Hurley's mom went viral after UConn's buzzer beater. She and her husband were clearly stunned speechless after the make. Neither looked like they could believe what they had just seen, and were looking around for confirmation. Hurley's mom was caught in a clear angle, screaming "Holy F----ing S---" in bewilderment.

Dan Hurley parents

Hurley is the son of Bob Hurley Sr. and Christine Hurley. He was born on January 16, 1973 and has two siblings: Bobby and Melissa. Bob Hurley Sr. was a longtime high school basketball coach. He coached at St. Anthony High School from 1972 to 2017. Hurley Sr. helped his team win 26 state championships and was the third high school coach ever elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame. 

His coaching career included five undefeated seasons, and he coached six NBA first-round picks. Hurley Sr.'s tenure only ended in 2017 because St. Andrews High School closed that year, and he didn't pursue any other coaching opportunities.
