Who is Cameron Young's caddie?

Cameron Young has had a few different caddies in his career, but he has found the most success after pairing with his former college teammate, Kyle Sterbinsky. Since partnering with Sterbinsky, Young has picked up his first two wins on the PGA Tour and vaulted to third in the Official World Golf Rankings.

Caddies are crucial for golfers, as partnerships are key for professionals to find success at the highest level. Therefore, Young has seemingly found the right partner as he looks to become one of the best players in the world.

Sterbinsky was still trying to make a career out of playing on mini tours last year when Young, who struggled to start the year, asked him to caddie.

"He was nearing the end of when he was going to keep playing or not. I needed a change. Things were going poorly, and when things are going bad, you change something," Young said.

Young claims that Sterbinsky's ability to read greens has been crucial to his turnaround, since putting was such a problem for him earlier in his career.

Cameron Young results with Kyle Sterbinsky

Sterbinsky began caddying for Young in the Spring of 2025, and it's a big reason why Young has improved his play. Young picked up his first two PGA Tour wins with Sterbinsky on his bag, going along with seven overall top-five finishes and a strong performance at the 2025 Ryder Cup.

As a result, Young is currently ranked No. 3 in the Official World Golf Rankings, the highest Young has ever been ranked in his career and significantly up from 67 when Sterbinsky first joined him. After four years of being a professional, Young has finally found the right formula to be successful at the highest level of the sport.

"He's great at reading greens, I think he's very quickly picking up a lot of the technical skills that it requires to be a really. good caddie out here," Young said after winning the Wyndham Championship last Summer. "He's been a great resource for me."

Cam Young basically confirming what I said earlier — his season flipped once Kyle Sterbinsky got on the bag.

While the plan was for this to be a temporary pairing, Young's success with Sterbinsky on the bag kept the two together.

"I didn't want to force his hand," Young said, via the Golf Channel. "He said, 'Yes, I'll work for you as long as you want.' It was going to be a couple of weeks. Played well. Another four weeks. Played well. And here we are."
