Los Angeles County served as the primary filming location for much of A Man on the Inside season 2. The 124-acre site of the California Institute of Technology, or Caltech, in Pasadena was used to film the scenes that took place at Wheeler College.
The university features various architectural landmarks, including the Beckman Auditorium and the Bridge Laboratory of Physics, all of which were used in the production. Caltech’s striking campus served as the backdrop for the academic setting of Wheeler College.
The show also took advantage of other Los Angeles locations, with scenes set across the vibrant city. In addition to Caltech, some segments were likely filmed in Santa Barbara.

San Francisco, California
San Francisco continued to play a part in A Man on the Inside season 2, with certain sequences filmed in and around the city. Though the storyline shifts focus to the Bay Area’s academic world, the city’s distinctive charm still made its way into the series. The production team used the property at 374 The Embarcadero for the exterior shots of Kovalenko Investigations.
