But Delhi Capitals chased it down in 17.5 overs with opener Abhishek Porel scoring a half-century and former LSG skipper KL Rahul finishing the match with a stunning half-century (57 off 42).
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians stretched their winning streak to four matches with their latest victory coming against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 7 wickets in Hyderabad. Trent Boult (4 for 26) ran riot on SRH's batting lineup; they were only able to post 147 for 7 on the scoreboard. Rohit Sharma (70 off 46) helped the team seal a convincing victory.
With this win, MI moved to fourth position on the IPL 2025 leaderboard with 10 points.
