NBA All-Star weekend is here, with the 2026 festivities featuring another edition of the HBCU Classic — this year between Hampton and North Carolina A&T.
Amongst several other exciting All-Star competitions in Los Angeles, these two programs will reignite their rivalry Friday. This annual event is a part of the NBA's commitment to highlight the rich tradition of sports and education at HBCUs across the country.
Hampton and A&T have both had average seasons, currently holding 12-13 and 9-14 records, respectively. The Pirates at least have the momentum of two consecutive wins heading into this matchup, while the Bulldogs have hit a skid of four straight losses.
This will mark the programs' second time meeting this season — Hampton won the first matchup by a margin of 82-61.
