Canada looks to keep pace with Sweden atop Group A with a win over Finland on Monday afternoon as the IIHF World Championship rolls along.

The Canadians (15 points) are a perfect 5-0 to begin the tournament, outscoring their opposition by a total of 28-2 following Saturday's 7-0 beatdown of Slovakia. Nathan MacKinnon leads the tournament with 10 points and six goals, while three other Canada skaters — including Sidney Crosby — have nine points.

Two tests await Canada to close out group play, with a rendezvous against Sweden looming. First, Team Canada must take care of business against Finland (11 points) which entered play on Sunday sitting in third place in Group A.

Teuvo Teräväinen (nine points) and Eeli Tolvanen (eight points) fuel the attack for Finland, which captured gold in the event as recently as 2022.
