Another one of the most recognisable events on the Professional Darts Corporation circuit reaches its conclusion this weekend, as the 2024 Grand Slam of Darts concludes in Wolverhampton in the UK.

Taking place across nine days and including eight four-team groups in a round robin ahead of the knockouts, the Grand Slam of Darts resembles the FIFA World Cup in its layout and has seen several rankings and match-ups decided by the pre-drawn group placings. The legs needed to win also increases with every round, with the quarterfinals, semis and final all set to be decided on a best-of-31 legs basis.

The winners of all this season's major events so far were given qualifying passes for this year's Grand Slam, as well as those to have won stages of this year's PDC European Tour. Only the highest-ranked eight players were seeded for the 32-player tournament. It didn't end up counting for much as reigning world champion Luke Humphreys, Michael van Gerwen and Michael Smith all bowed out in the group stages.

It left teenage sensation Luke Littler on the charge and considered a favourite for glory
