The 2026 season is almost upon us, and top players such as Novak Djokovic, Coco Gauff, Amanda Anisimova, Emma Raducanu, and others have already chosen their first tournament of the new season. Most big names usually compete in only one warm-up tournament in the lead-up to the Australian Open.
However, a handful of them go all out and participate in back-to-back tournaments before the season's first Major. A total of six different tournaments will be held before the Australian Open, with only one of them being outside the country.
The United Cup and the Brisbane International, which will be held in the first week of January, will feature most of the tour's biggest names. Here's a look at the full entry lists for all the tournaments in the lead-up to the Australian Open 2026:
#1. United Cup (January 2-11)
18 teams will battle it out in the fourth edition of the United Cup, which will be held across two cities, Perth and Sydney. The United States are the defending champions. Top 10 players Coco Gauff and Taylor Fritz are back to spearhead their country's title defense.
Top 10 players Iga Swiatek, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Jack Draper, Jasmine Paolini, Alexander Zverev, and Alex de Minaur will lead their respective countries' challenge for the title. Emma Raducanu and Naomi Osaka will also make their tournament debut.
Teen star Victoria Mboko is another player to look out for, as well as Stan Wawrinka, who's set to retire in 2026. Casper Ruud, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Belinda Bencic, Barbora Krejcikova, and Jakub Mensik are the other notable names in the mix.

The men's field is equally impressive, with the likes of Daniil Medvedev, Denis Shapovalov, Tommy Paul, Joao Fonseca, Nick Kyrgios, and Learner Tien making an appearance.

Away from the chaos in Australia, a few players will make a pit stop in Asia for the Hong Kong Open before heading Down Under. World No. 8 Lorenzo Musetti is the only top 10 player in the mix, and headlines the tournament.
Three top 20 players are part of the field as well, Alexander Bublik, Andrey Rublev, and Karen Khachanov. Alexandre Muller, who claimed his maiden ATP title here a year ago, is back to defend his title.

#6. Hobart International (January 12-17)
The Hobart International, a WTA 250 event, at times gets the short end of the stick due to its placement on the calendar. However, that won't be the case in 2026. Grand Slam champions Emma Raducanu and Barbora Krejcikova have committed to play, boosting the tournament's star power.
Elise Mertens leads the field as the top seed. Hailey Baptiste, Ann Li, McCartney Kessler, and Peyton Stearns are some of the other well-known names slated to participate in Hobart.
