Projected CFP rankings: Who are the top four teams in college football?
Prior to the Week 10 games, these are the top 12 teams in the AP Poll:
- Ohio State
- Indiana
- Texas A&M
- Alabama
- Georgia
- Oregon
- Ole Miss
- Georgia Tech
- Vanderbilt
- Miami
- BYU
- Notre Dame
Next out: Texas Tech, Tennessee, Virginia, Louisville, Cincinnati
The top four seeds in the College Football Playoff get a first round bye, while seeds 5 through 12 play at the higher seed's campus.
Assuming the defending champions Ohio State don't slip up it's fair to assume that they will be the No. 1 seed. Following the Buckeyes right now is undefeated Indiana -- who has it's highest ranking in program history -- then No. 3 Texas A&M and No. 4 Alabama, who don't play this weekend.
Behind them is a group of contenders in Georgia, Oregon and Ole Miss, all of whom have one loss on the season. Georgia Tech and BYU, who are ranked at No. 8 and No. 11 in the AP Poll, remain undefeated.
Currently, Notre Dame is the one team in the AP Top-12 with two losses; those both came to higher-ranked teams.
