Simone Biles shares never-before-known fact about her love life with husband Jonathan Owens

Simone Biles recently opened up about her relationship with her husband, Jonathan Owens. The Olympic champion gymnast revealed in a TikTok video that Owens was not the first guy with whom she began a relationship.

The 28-year-old gymnast held an interactive session with her followers on her TikTok account. Biles shared some previously unknown facets of her life, which included addressing some misconceptions, as well as her plastic surgeries.

In the aforementioned session, Simone Biles revealed that she had a boyfriend before Jonathan Owens came into her life. In her words,

"Jonathan is only my second relationship."

Simone Biles referred to her relationship with Stacey Ervin Jr., a fellow gymnast whom she dated from 2017 onwards. The couple parted ways in March 2020.

Simone Biles further revealed that she used to believe she went to speech therapy when she was younger. The 28-year-old gymnast further added,

"I went to speech therapy whenever I was younger. I also thought that every kid was adopted because my sister and I were adopted. I didn't watch movies growing up."

Simone Biles had begun dating Jonathan Owens in August 2020, when the two sportspersons first met on the exclusive dating app Raya. The couple became interested in each other and soon announced their engagement on February 15, 2022, before finally tying the knot on April 22, 2023.

Simone Biles previously revealed a humorous side of her husband, Jonathan Owens. The couple never leaves a single moment to display immense affection for each other, whether online or offline.

Biles shared a TikTok video about her husband's multiple skills on her Instagram story in late July this year. She mentioned,

"This was Jonathan when I first met him. He will google it but he will get it done/ figure it out, he was a comedian/ chef/ dog trainer and more."

In another interview with E!News conducted around the Met Gala 2025, Biles revealed how the couple loved to spend their time together. In her words,

"I feel like every day we fall more and more in love with each other and getting to do opportunities like this is so much fun and we cherish each and every moment that we get together." [00:26 onwards]

Simone Biles previously visited Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati, where the Chicago Bears faced the Cincinnati Bengals for their NFL game. The Bears won the game by a close margin of 47-42.
