What you need to get ‘Game Day Ready’ for the FIFA World Cup 2026

1 hour ago 3

In group chats across North America, match predictions are already sparking debates. Calendars are shifting, and plans are taking shape. In living rooms, fans are starting to rethink how they’ll watch the FIFA World Cup 2026™ — not in stadiums, but at home.

While many matches will be played in our own backyard, not everyone will experience the tournament in person. Instead, fans are bringing the energy home, creating game-day atmospheres that rival any stadium. In fact, some fans have already started to upgrade living rooms and basements with bigger screens and immersive sound systems. People are even remodeling rooms for extra comfort – anticipating long matches – and redesigning kitchens and family spaces to make hosting easy.

As an Official Sponsor of the FIFA World Cup 2026™, Hisense is bringing that energy to life through Game Day Ready — a campaign built around helping fans enjoy the tournament at home.

How fans across the host nations are getting ready

Across North America, fans are getting ready for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ in ways that feel personal, practical and deeply familiar. Some are upgrading the rooms where everyone gathers. Others are creating better spaces for family traditions, old rituals, or the next generation of supporters.

Meet @MattyFC, who is getting ready for game day by giving back. His love of soccer started with Osnir, the first Brazilian player to compete in Malta’s top league. Matty was lucky to meet his hero, who encouraged him early on and supported his passion for the game. Years later, Matty realized Osnir was watching soccer matches on a small TV with weak sound and no real atmosphere. Through Game Day Ready, Matty transformed Osnir’s home with a 55-inch U7 Series Hisense TV for the living room, upgraded sound, a projector, and a refreshed kitchen setup — a thank-you built around the sport that first connected them.

For @samrusssso, getting ready is about family. Raised in a sports-loving family, Sam grew up on the road, traveling to practices, games, and tournaments with her parents. After Sam’s grandfather passed, Sam and her family became more intentional about spending time together, often reconnecting over sports. To thank her parents, Sam upgraded their home setup through Game Day Ready, adding an 85-inch S7 Canvas TV and a soundbar, creating the ultimate space for shared moments during this World Cup.

Ever feel lonely in your man cave? That’s how Canadian creator @GameRoomTheater felt after spending time in his premium space. Realizing that while he had his dream space, it kept him away from enjoying games with his family. Game Day Ready helped this fan prep for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ by moving his man cave into the family room, equipped with a 100-inch UX TV, Canvas TV as a second screen, French door refrigerator, and a beverage center. “O Canada” never sounded this good!

Those stories may be different, but they reflect the same idea: fans across the host nations are already getting ready in their own way.

In Toronto, Salvatore is a beloved figure in his community and a devoted Juventus supporter who had already turned his basement into a tribute to his team. Saving for a dream trip to Italy by mowing neighbors’ lawns, he never touched his pension. Ahead of the FIFA World Cup, his friends the Bello brothers used Game Day Ready to elevate the space with a new TV, sound system, and kitchen upgrades. One thing stayed untouched: his beloved espresso machine — though even that was quietly upgraded.

In Mexico, Valeria travels the world as a global soccer reporter but misses gamedays at home with her family, eating Mom’s home cooking and celebrating together. Valeria decided to recreate childhood memories by adding a Hisense Intelligent Refrigerator, a projector for outdoor viewing to her home,  creating a new generation of gatherings.

And for Marcela and Esteban, the goal was simple: give the biggest soccer fan in the family a setup worthy of his passion. Marcela’s nephew, 14 year-old Esteban, is the biggest soccer fan in the family. Often watching matches on his phone, Esteban needed a better setup. So like any loving aunt, Marcela used Game Day Ready to create a dedicated viewing space complete with a TV, soundbar, and a Hisense Portable Air Conditioner, giving Esteban a place to fully experience every moment of the game.

Different fans, different traditions — but across the host nations, one thing is clear: the road to the FIFA World Cup 2026™ has already begun at home.

Why this matters before kickoff

For millions of fans, the FIFA World Cup 2026™ will be watched from couches, kitchens, basements, and crowded living rooms as much as from the stands. That makes the home setup part of the experience — where families gather, friends celebrate, and every big moment is shared together.

Through Game Day Ready, Hisense is meeting fans where they live, helping them prepare early and creating experiences that reflect how the tournament is truly enjoyed: at home, together.

Bringing the World Cup home

Sports have a special way of bringing people together. We cheer for the same team as our family; we celebrate with friends who live down the street; we relive the greatest goal with our co-workers. As an Official Sponsor of the FIFA World Cup 2026™, Hisense is proud to be part of these moments, helping fans create immersive, connected experiences and bringing the game closer to home than ever before.  For Hisense, that’s what Innovating a Brighter Life means.
