What Steelers' loss vs. Browns means for AFC North, wild-card standings

1 hour ago 2

The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered a sloppy defeat to the Cleveland Browns in Week 17, as Mike Tomlin's squad went on the road and couldn't get the job done.

Pittsburgh's offense failed to score a touchdown on Sunday, and though the defense played well against a Cleveland offense led by Shedeur Sanders, it wasn't enough to pick up the slack.

With the loss in Week 17, Pittsburgh fell to 9-7 and failed to wrap up the AFC North.

AFC North standings

1. Pittsburgh Steelers (9-7)

2. Baltimore Ravens (8-8)

3. Cincinnati Bengals (6-10)

4. Cleveland Browns (4-12)

It will all come down to Week 18. With the Steelers losing and the Baltimore Ravens beating the Green Bay Packers in Week 17, Pittsburgh and Baltimore will meet next week for the AFC North title.

The Ravens looked completely dead after a Week 16 loss to the New England Patriots, but the Browns gave them help and set up a win-and-get-in scenario for Baltimore in Week 18 versus Pittsburgh.

AFC playoff picture

It's pretty simple now when it comes to the AFC playoff picture.

The winner of the Ravens versus the Steelers in Week 18 will be the No. 4 seed in the AFC.
