What Nicole Kidman is up to for first Christmas since Keith Urban split

Nicole Kidman is spending Christmas Down Under following her split from Keith Urban.

The actress traveled to her native Australia with their daughters to ring in her first Christmas since their breakup, a source told People Thursday.

“Nicole and the girls are in Australia for Christmas,” the insider said.

“This is all she wanted after a tumultuous fall,” the source continued. “She just wanted to celebrate Christmas at home.”

Kidman is reportedly “very excited” to be home for the holidays with daughters Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

Earlier this week, she was spotted attending a holiday party, sporting her naturally curly hair.

This will be Kidman’s first Christmas celebration since splitting from her estranged husband.

The “Big Little Lies” star, 58, and the country singer, also 58, separated after 19 years of marriage in September. Kidman filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

“Sometimes relationships just run their course,” a source told Page Six about their breakup at the time, adding that Kidman “did not want the separation and was trying to save things.”

The pair had allegedly been living apart “since the beginning of the summer.”

The former couple has agreed to a parenting plan which “includes refraining from speaking negatively about each other or their families,” according to court documents obtained by People.

The “Practical Magic” star has been designated the primary residential parent, spending 306 days with the girls, while Urban will have them for 59 days annually.

Urban made headlines in June after he abruptly ended a Zoom interview when asked about his feelings about Kidman filming love scenes with Zac Efron in their 2024 Netflix movie, “A Family Affair.”

Since their split, the “You Look Good in My Shirt” artist was rumored to be romantically involved with his guitarist, Maggie Baugh.

Urban and Kidman tied the knot nearly a year after meeting at a G’Day USA gala in January 2005.

Kidman was previously married to Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001. She and the “Top Gun” actor share two kids: Bella, 32, and Connor, 30.
