The Daytona 500 is one of the best races due to the unpredictability. And Sunday's 68th running of the Great American Race lived up to the hype.
Michael Jordan had four drivers at the start and they were all there at the end with Tyler Reddick taking home his first Harley J. Earl trophy. This was a significant win for the co-owner of 23XI Racing, who spent countless hours during the offseason fighting for changes in the sport.
Just days before his 63rd birthday, the NBA legend was asked by FOX Sports' Jamie Little about Reddick's win in victory lane.

— FOX: NASCAR (@NASCARONFOX) February 15, 2026"I can't even believe it," Jordan said. " It was so gratifying. We had four guys that were really fighting that were helping each other out. I mean, you never know how these races are going to end, right? It's like you just try to survive. And I thought Riley (Herbst) did an unbelievable job of pushing at the end.
"That shows you what teamwork can really, really do. I mean he doesn't get enough credit. He won't get enough credit, but we feel the love. We understand exactly what he did. I mean, we just hung in there all day. I mean... Great strategy by the team. And we gave ourselves a chance at the end and look, I'm excited. I mean, I didn't even know what to say. It feels like I won a championship. But until I get my ring, I won't even know."

Reddick didn't lead by the final lap, but none of that mattered. His 23XI teammate Bubba Wallace was steady in the front of the pack throughout the race, but ended up getting pushed backed up for a tenth place finish. Herbst came in eighth in his first full-time Daytona 500 start.
On the final lap, Chase Elliott surged to the lead after a pile up before turn one. He held tight before Reddick darted to the front and didn't look back. This was the ninth career win for the 30-year-old, who came into the race with an average starting position of 26th in his career.
This 23XI Racing's first Daytona 500 win as an owner after Denny Hamlin racked up three as a part of Joe Gibbs Racing from 2016 to 2020.
