Pat McAfee is officially sold on the Cleveland Browns vision for a $2.4 billion "masterpiece" in Brook Park. Following the release of the latest renderings for the future Huntington Bank Field, McAfee took to X to share his electrified reaction to the stadium's bold design. Specifially the Dawg Pound.
“I love it,” McAfee posted, clearly energized by the blueprints for the Browns' new home.
The hype is backed by some seriously aggressive architecture. According to details from Sports Business Journal, the new stadium (slated to open in 2029) is leaning into a “Super Theater” concept designed by HKS. The crown jewel of the project is a reimagined Dawg Pound that takes inspiration from the most intimidating supporters' sections in European soccer.
The design features a 34-degree slope, making it the steepest seating stand in the NFL. This "vertical wall" of fans is engineered to trap sound and put Cleveland's most die-hard supporters right on top of the opponent. McAfee commented on what this type of layout will do for Cleveland fans, "… the encouragement from the folks all around you to fully embrace the environment and be a weapon for your team. It empowers LOUD."

The Cleveland Browns are putting the Dawg Pound front and center in their future 🐶🏈

Beyond the noise, the SBJ report highlights a massive 215,000-square-foot "Dawg Pound Plaza" on the west side, located directly above the players' parking. This creates a "venue before the venue" where fans can cheer for the team as they arrive. With a "Grand Concourse" triple the size of their current home and a flexible capacity that can swell to 75,000 for events like the Final Four, the scale is massive.
As McAfee put it: the entire setup is "incredible." For a fanbase ready for a world-class upgrade, this high-tech gem in Brook Park looks like the ultimate reward...if you can afford the ticket prices.
