It's been four seasons since the San Francisco Giants made the postseason, and during that 2021 playoff run, they suffered a crushing defeat to the Los Angeles Dodgers in five games of the NLDS.
That was the team's standout pitcher. Logan Webb's third season, which has been the only postseason appearance of his career, is entering his eighth season, and the ace is ready for that to change.
"I'm tired of finishing around .500. I know fans are tired of it. None of us is happy about it, either. I've been here the longest now, and it's frustrating," Webb exclaimed.

The frustration Webb speaks of is justified, since being a mediocre team can be worse than being at the bottom of the barrel, especially if the team remains the same.
However, whenever one of the best players on the team is stating how much he is tired of losing and individual is not enough more and winning is the top priority, it can end up lighting a positive fire under the team to go out there and turn things around, which is what the franchise needs as that 2021 postseason is the only appearance for San Francisco in the last nine seasons, but before that the team had won three World Series titles over five seasons from 2010-2014.
If the Giants don't begin to turn their fortunes around, that could start to upset Webb to the point where he may eventually want to be traded to a better situation. A dominant starting pitcher like Webb does not come around as often as one might think.
Based on the resume that Webb has built for himself, he will be play a huge role in the team having success if that happens this season, especially if the all-star can have anywhere close to the season that he had last year, where he recorded a 15-11 record, 3.22 ERA, and 224 strikeouts, which was good for third most in the league behind only Tarik Skubal and Garrett Crochet.
