A Rivers will run through this tour.

Weezer just announced they’re striking out on a nationwide run in support of their untitled 16th studio album, which is yet to receive a release date.

The outing, dubbed ‘The Gathering Tour,’ will send the “Island In The Sun” rockers to 32 arenas all over North America with special guests The Shins and Silverspun Pickups from early September through late October this year.

That includes a stop at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Wednesday, Sept. 30.

“This is just the beginning,” the band shared via Instagram. “The Gathering has a way of traveling.”

Ahead of the record’s release, Weezer will drop the lead single “Shine Again” on April 1. They also made sure to note that there won’t be any April 1 shenanigans and that “this is not a joke.”

Outside of a handful of one-offs and festival appearances, Cuomo and co. last hit the road in earnest on their 2025 EU/UK Tour.

Based on our findings at Set List FM, the fivesome (including touring drummer Josh Freese) typically performed 23 songs per show. Notable tracks to make the cut include fan favorites include “Buddy Holly,” “Say It Ain’t So,” “Undone – The Sweater Song,” “My Name Is Jonas” and, of course, “Island In The Sun.”

“[Cuomo’s] front man solos were great and a bit more twangy and overdriven than the recordings, and I preferred it,” The Gateway noted in a glowing review of their gig at Edmonton’s Rockin’ Thunder Festival (which technically wasn’t part of the EU/UK trek).

“…they played perfectly and showed off their talents…there’s nothing better than seeing a live set that sounds better than the records, and unlike some acts, their records are nothing compared to their live sets.”
