The Washington Commanders and Seattle Seahawks are set to battle on Sunday Night Football, which sets the stage for an unconventional primetime matchup. The Seahawks are crossing the country on a trip also complicated by the time-zone switch, so the matchup will have an added layer of complexity. However, Sportskeeda has put in the effort to simplify the game for fantasy football managers.
It could be the game that decides your matchup, so it's important to take heed and pick your players with care. Here's who Sportskeeda is recommending.

Terry McLaurin is out for the contest, according to NFL insider Adam Schefter, so many of his targets will go to Deebo Samuel. As such, if you have Samuel, it's time to unleash him.
Jayden Daniels is back in the lineup, so expect plenty of quality ball placements. The two have demonstrated a connection this season, so the ingredients for a better-than-average night are there. Luke McCaffrey has also shown flashes, and with McLaurin out, he could be worth a flex start.
As for the Seahawks, the Sam Darnold-Jaxon Smith-Njigba connection is unbeatable in the NFL. As such, regardless of the matchup, both the quarterback and wide receiver are must-starts. Washington's defense ranks near the bottom of the league in yards allowed per contest, so the stage is set for a big night.
Must Starts
- Deebo Samuel
- Jayden Daniels
- Sam Darnold
- Jaxon Smith-Njigba
- Luke McCaffrey

Jacory Croskey-Merritt at Chicago v Washington - Source: GettyNeither the Washington Commanders nor the Seattle Seahawks defenses are worth starting. Washington has one of the lowest-ranked defenses in the NFL, and Jayden Daniels at home has every reason to put the Seahawks defense to the test.
There are likely easier matchups available to exploit on your waiver wire, so you should only play the Seahawks defense if you are willing to take some element of risk. Washington's defense should be avoided at all costs.
The game is set up with both teams wanting to showcase their quarterbacks, which could leave Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Kenneth Walker III with fewer opportunities in short-yardage goal-to-go situations. The Seahawks want to show off Darnold to the world, while Washington wants to do what they can to resurrect Daniels' pristine image.
Plus, with Daniels' team likely to trail in the second half, it incentivizes the team to move away from Croskey-Merritt.
Must Sits
- Jacory Croskey-Merritt
- Zach Ertz
- Kenneth Walker III
- Commanders D/ST
- Seahawks D/ST
