The Toronto Blue Jays' heartbreaking loss in Game 7 of the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers was felt not just by the players but also by their families. The team's WAGs have been the biggest source of support to the players throughout the postseason.

The end of their thrilling campaign brought out messages of solidarity and camaraderie. Blue Jays pitcher Kevin Gausman's wife, Taylor Gausman, took to Instagram on Sunday to pen an emotional message encapsulating their epic season.

"I can really only be proud," Gausman wrote. "Proud of my husband, proud to be a part of the Blue Jays, proud of all the guys and the amazing women behind them. Proud of our kids for being troopers on this month long rollercoaster of late nights and coast to coast flights."

Gausman's emotional farewell comes after Toronto was 2 outs away from winning the World Series. In Game 7 in the ninth inning, Dodgers' Miguel Rojas hit a game-tying home run. Los Angeles escaped two bases-loaded jams in the ninth and tenth before catcher Will Smith hit the go-ahead solo home run in the eleventh frame.

Gausman's post drew reactions from fellow Blue Jays' wives in the comments. George Springer's wife, Charlise Springer, and Shane Bieber's wife, Kara Maxine Bieber, both echoed Taylor's sentiments with separate five-word reactions.

"So well said. Love you," Kara wrote. "Well said, Tey. Love you," Charlise wrote.

This was the Gausman family's trip to the World Series. Kevin and Taylor tied the knot in December 2016 and have two daughters, Sadie and Sutton.

The two-time All-Star started on the mound in Games 2 and 6 for Toronto. He earned the loss in both games against World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Gausman combined for 12.2 innings of 6 earned runs with 14 strikeouts for the Blue Jays.

The Blue Jays turned the Rogers Centre into a fortress. The team won 54 regular season games at home while also getting two crucial wins in the American League Championship Series in Games 6 and 7 against the Seattle Mariners. Unfortunately, the Dodgers flipped the script, winning 3 out of their 4 games on the road.

Despite the loss, Toronto's fans provided immense support to the organization. Taylor captured the moment, on her Instagram story, of the fans rallying behind the Blue Jays on Saturday.

"Took a moment last night to soak in the whole stadium up and chanting "Let's go Blue Jays. We have the best fans," Gausman wrote.

The Blue Jays' postseason run was able to unite all of Canada. The wait for their first championship since 1993 continues as Toronto looks to regroup for next season.
