Week 17 Christmas TNF Chiefs vs. Broncos Start 'Em Sit 'Em Picks feat. Travis Kelce, Courtland Sutton, Xavier Worthy

The 6-9 Kansas City Chiefs await the 12-3 Denver Broncos in the conclusion to the Christmas NFL slate. While the other two games are Netflix specials, this contest will be the conventional TNF game that happens to take place on Christmas.

If fantasy football managers pick their starters correctly, they will be left with one more big gift to unwrap. However, if they pick poorly, they will be left with a lump of coal. To help managers avoid the latter, Sportskeeda has put together a handy guide to the contest.

Put simply, expect the Denver Broncos to take care of business. That means starting the team's stars. RJ Harvey and Courtland Sutton are likely to have their way. Sutton's points will likely come early, and Harvey's will likely come in the second half. Rashee Rice and Patrick Mahomes will miss the contest, so expect Denver's defense to tee off on the team's third-string quarterback.

The only member of the Kansas City Chiefs who makes sense to start in certain situations is Travis Kelce.

This feels like it could be his last time in Kansas City as a member of the organization, and as such, Andy Reid could give him an unhealthy number of targets. Think of Kobe Bryant's final game, when the Lakers legend scored 60 points and quintupled the next closest teammate in attempted field goals.

Must Starts

  • RJ Harvey
  • Courtland Sutton
  • Travis Kelce
  • Broncos D/ST
  • Bo Nix

With Denver expected to dominate, stay away from the Kansas City Chiefs' side of things. Chris Oladokun, Xavier Worthy, Hollywood Brown, and Kareem Hunt should all be avoided at all costs. It is rare to find a game in which it doesn't make sense to start the kicker, but Harrison Butker might only get one kick in the contest.

Additionally, avoid Kansas City's defense, which is unlikely to produce much, if anything. There are far better options this week.

With Oladokun starting, don't expect many targets for the depth receivers. Oladokun is likely to focus only on one or two reads per play before getting swarmed by Denver's pass rush. As such, avoid players like JuJu Smith-Schuster.

Meanwhile, as for Denver, the only player you shouldn't start is Pat Bryant, who is still recovering from the concussion suffered against the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to Denver's official injury report.

Must Sits

  • Kareem Hunt
  • Chris Oladokun
  • Hollywood Brown
  • Xavier Worthy
  • JuJu Smith-Schuster
  • Harrison Butker
  • Chiefs D/ST
  • Pat Bryant
