Week 10 is on the doorstep in the NFL fantasy football world. Before the action starts, it's time to set your lineup. To help get a 1,000-foot view of the league, Sportskeeda has put together a list of the top running backs for fantasy football this week.
The list takes into account the week's matchup, full body of work, and historical status. Bye weeks are continuing to wreak havoc on the entire league, and continue to make an impact in the weekly rankings, taking out names one week and adding them the next. Having a bye week is an automatic disqualification from the list.

Jonathan Taylor vs ATL
Jonathan Taylor has defeated the matchup calculation. No matter the opponent, Taylor is a set-and-forget running back, even against a rushing defense as stiff as the Atlanta Falcons.
The game takes place in Indianapolis, which could help the Colts play from ahead. If that happens, Taylor is well-positioned to deliver an impressive final production line for fantasy football managers.
Christian McCaffrey vs LAR
Christian McCaffrey has been a league winner in the past, and while the season has seen a remarkable improvement in his production compared to 2024, the Los Angeles Rams are likely to have an impact on McCaffrey's final tally. The Rams are currently 11th against the rush in yards allowed per game. Nevertheless, expect a starting-level production total for the team's franchise running back.
Brock Purdy is continuing to battle a toe injury that will follow him for the duration of the season, according to Kyle Shanahan via a Monday NBC Sports report. This keeps the running game front and center, which should set the stage well for McCaffrey to see extra carries and targets.
Rico Dowdle vs NO
Rico Dowdle has been a revelation for the Carolina Panthers this season, and now the Panthers have a sputtering team on tap in Week 10. Dowdle is third in the NFL in rushing yards despite starting just three games this season (he has seen action in nine games, however).
The ingredients are in place for a huge fantasy football explosion in Week 10, with the back also coming off a 130-yard, three-touchdown performance against the Green Bay Packers.
