Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Damian Priest had a friendly union on the recent episode of SmackDown. It happened after The Archer of Infamy came out to help Cody tackle Aleister Black and Drew McIntyre.
Cody and Aleister had squared off in the main event of the show. However, the match ended in a DQ when Drew McIntyre came out of nowhere and took down the match referee with a Claymore.
Later, he had a handful of exchanges with Cody. Aleister Black jumped into the fight and assisted Drew McIntyre in taking out the American Nightmare. That's when Damian Priest came out to neutralize his current rival, Aleister Black.
After the show went off air, Cody Rhodes and Damian Priest shared a warm moment inside the ring. The American Nightmare lifted Priest on his shoulders as the fans cheered for him.
The two continued with his hilarious segment for the next two minutes. This was captured by one of the fans in the arena, and the footage is now viral on social media.
Drew McIntyre suspended by WWE SmackDown General Manager, Nick Aldis
Drew McIntyre's conduct didn't go down well with Nick Aldis. He suspended McIntyre for attacking the match referee, something that is unacceptable.
With this, the former WWE Champion might be out of action from SmackDown for the next few weeks. He may even miss the Survivor Series: WarGames event this month.
However, there are also chances that Aldis lifts the suspension by next week, and McIntyre and Aleister Black can team up to face Cody and Damian Priest in a tag team match next week.
It's because with WWE Survivor Series: WarGames is slated to take place this month, and McIntyre could be part of the heel faction in the WarGames match. It will be interesting to see how the company books McIntyre on SmackDown now.
