Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has issued the latest update on Benjamin Sesko after the striker was forced off during their 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday, November 8.

Sesko started the game on the bench, coming on for Noussair Mazraoui in the 58th minute. In the 78th minute, Mason Mount gave Sesko a pass on goal, but the Slovenian international was dispossessed by Mick van de Ven, with the challenge leaving him sitting on the floor.

Sesko appeared to pick up an injury as he was withdrawn with around 10 minutes left to play. United had to play out the stoppage time with just 10 men, as they had already used all their substitutions before Sesko was forced off.

Speaking after the game, Amorim admitted that the Manchester United staff felt Sesko picked up an issue from the challenge. He told TNT Sports:

“We have to see, we think he has a problem but let’s see.”

When asked whether Sesko could be facing a lengthy period out of the team with injury, Amorim was unsure about how serious the issue is.

"It's the knee and we never know," he said. "I think that [Sesko form] is not the biggest concern now. I'm more concerned with an injury because it's in the knee and I don't know [how serious it is]."

In addition to Sesko, Amorim also confirmed that Casemiro has to be withdrawn due to a possible injury, too. He added:

“But then, with everything that happened — Harry has to come out, Casemiro has to come out, Ben — then they score two goals again in a short period of time, but to manage to score again, so it’s a point.”

Ruben Amorim heaps praise on Senne Lammens after Manchester United’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham

Ruben Amorim singled out goalkeeper Senne Lammens for praise after they gave away a 1-0 lead and had to fight for a late 2-2 draw against Tottenham. Lammens was once again impressive, making two saves to ensure United's unbeaten record remained intact.

On Lammens, the Manchester United head coah said:

“He's doing really well. He’s very adult and he understands that in the game a lot of things can happen, but especially for a goalkeeper you need to move on for anything that can happen until the last minute. So it's like a new game every time the ball is on the pitch. I think he at 23 years old. he understands that quite well.”

Manchester United will next be in action against Everton after the international break.
