With his unparalleled combination of size, quickness, and skill, Victor Wembanyama has become must-see TV for basketball fans. On Thursday, the San Antonio Spurs star gave the NBA community another memorable montage that touches on both ends of the floor.
Midway through the third quarter of the Spurs' home game against the Washington Wizards, Wembanyama found himself defending a pick-and-roll situation triggered by Wizards wing player Kyshawn George. Though Wemby went to drop coverage and stopped a few steps away from George, he nevertheless stuck his arm out and soundly blocked a George midrange shot attempt.

Amazingly, the ball appeared to drop right into the hand of the French sensation, who made a beeline for the basket on the other side of the court.

Three Wizards had gotten back on defense, and Wembanyama's gravity allowed Dylan Harper to take his position unbothered on the right corner. Wemby, however, opted not to kick the ball out, instead continuing his stride and throwing down a vicious one-handed dunk.
Apparently feeling some contact, Wembanyama went on to look at the referee to ask for a foul call. None was given, but the nine-second sequence was enough to get crowd inside Front Bank Center into a frenzy.
The Spurs went on to blow out the Wizards 119-94 to improve to 19-14. This is San Antonio's fourth consecutive win, and it ties them in the standings with the LA Lakers. Only the OKC Thunder (25-2) and the Denver Nuggets (20-6) hold better records in the Western Conference.
Wembanyama, who came off the bench again as the team takes a cautious approach to his recovery from a calf strain, finished with 15 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and four blocks.

Way before that incredible sequence, Spurs fans expressed their appreciation for Wembanyama by giving him a standing ovation after he checked into the game for the first time.
These same fans had learned on Wednesday that Wembanyama had decided to play in the Emirates NBA Cup finals even after he'd learned that morning that his grandmother had passed away.
Though the Spurs came up short against the Knicks in that championship game, they came out on the winning end at home versus the Wizards.
