Lewis Hamilton is competing in his maiden Formula 1 campaign with Ferrari this year, having driven for a number of years with Mercedes since 2013. However, life with the Maranello-based outfit has not proved easy for the seven-time world champion.

After 20 rounds, Hamilton has yet to amass his maiden podium finish with the team and is currently in sixth place (146 points) in the drivers' standings. Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc has amassed seven podiums and is in fifth, having amassed 210 points.

Amid his tough spell, the Brit has recently come up with an upbeat take via Ferrari, and added:

"I knew that aligning our brands would be big, but it still hits you and you’re like: This is even more powerful than I imagined. It’s beautiful, and there have been plenty of positives, although a lot of responsibility and weight come with it. Everyone expects to win straight away, but Rome wasn’t built in a day. Only when you’re inside a team can you really, truly understand how it works and how F1 works."

In Round 20, the Mexican Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton had yet another tough outing on the racetrack. Despite his best efforts, he was only able to manage an P8 finish behind Mercedes' George Russell.
