Naomi Osaka is set to spread Christmas cheer with Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, in the latter's upcoming show on Netflix. The four-time Grand Slam champion made an unexpected cameo in the "With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration" trailer, released on November 19.
The American actress is married to Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and holds a close friendship with Naomi Osaka. Netflix has already released two seasons of the reality television series "With Love, Meghan" and is set to introduce the third installment on December 3.
After announcing a multi-year partnership with the British royal couple in August this year, Netflix dropped a trailer on November 19, which also featured Prince Harry, American chef Tom Colicchio, American restaurateur Will Guidara, Markle's friend Kelly Zajfen, and award-winning television and live-events producer Lindsay Roth. However, Osaka's appearance in the official trailer came as a surprise, as the first two seasons had no sporting personalities as guests.
In a press release, Netflix confirmed Osaka's guest appearance in the upcoming show. The show will be about Meghan Markle hosting guests at her home in Montecito, California, and sharing her Christmas holiday experience.

In a note on Time in July 2021, Osaka thanked her supporters, writing:
"I want to thank everyone who supported me. There are too many to name, but I want to start with my family and friends, who have been amazing. There is nothing more important than those relationships. I also want to thank those in the public eye who have supported, encouraged, and offered such kind words. Michelle Obama, Michael Phelps, Steph Curry, Novak Djokovic, Meghan Markle, to name a few."Meanwhile, Osaka returned to the top 20 in the WTA singles rankings with a 35-15 win-loss record in 2025. She finished as a runner-up in Montreal and Auckland, and won the WTA 125 title in Saint-Malo. The former World No. 1 will return to action at the 2026 United Cup in Australia starting on January 5.
