Christian Lee successfully defended his lightweight MMA world title last week in Japan. With him was younger brother and fellow ONE Championship fighter Adrian Lee, who was one of the first from his corner to celebrate the win.

'The Warrior' defeated Turkish challenger Alibeg Rasulov by TKO in the second round of their title rematch at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri on Nov. 16 at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo. It was the conclusive ending he said he was going for after his first encounter with Rasulov last December was rendered a no-contest after he accidentally poked the eye of his opponent, who was unable to continue after.

As Christian Lee was going for the finish at ONE 173, Adrian Lee was ready to explode in their corner. And when the contest was waved off at the 2:32 mark of the second round, he immediately jumped to Circle-side to join his brother in celebration.

ONE Championship captured on video the proud moment between the Lee siblings and shared it on Instagram.

Christian Lee got into early trouble at ONE 173 after he was taken down by Rasulov, who wrapped his arms around the champion's legs, looking to keep the fight on the ground. But the Singaporean-American fighter willed his way out from the bind he was in, and was able to stand up to engage and connect with telling hits as the first round drew to a close.

In the second round, Rasulov tried to employ the same tack but Lee was already prepared for it, using low kicks to stave off the takedown attempts of the challenger. They then exchanged punches before Lee broke through with a knee to the body and a high kick, which he used to throw more strikes to tear down his opponent.

Looking to slow down Lee's attack, the Dagestan native tried to go for a takedown only to be foiled, with Lee able to trap him for a D'Arce choke then going for ground-and pound that Rasulov had to answer to, forcing the referee to stop the contest.

The win at ONE 173 also earned Christian Lee a $50,000 performance bonus from ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

Christian Lee called out by Roberto Soldic for welterweight title clash

Following his successful defense of the lightweight gold at ONE 173, Christian Lee was called out by Croatian sensation Roberto Soldic for the welterweight belt he also holds.

'Robocop' jumped on the opportunity after Lee made it known that he wants to defend his welterweight title in his future matches.

Soldic commented on an Instagram on Lee's win, writing:

"Congrats 🤝 let's go @christianleemma"

If Lee does pick up Soldic's challenge, it will mark the first time that he will defend the welterweight title since claiming it in November 2022, with a fourth-round TKO of former divisional king Kiamrian Abbasov.
