Dani Busboom Kelly expressed her thoughts as the Nebraska volleyball team clinched their third consecutive Big Ten title. The former Husker was elated by the team's performance in the season so far and opened up about their ambitions for the rest of the matches while aiming for the ultimate NCAA Championship title.
The Nebraska volleyball team competed against Iowa at the Bob Devaney Sports Center and extended its dominance to clinch a straight sweep victory with a score of 25-15, 25-21, 25-18. Nebraska (27-0, 17-0 Big Ten) hit .384 and had the edge in all the offensive and defensive aspects.
Harper Murray, Andi Jackson, and Virginia Adriano dominated the attack, while Bergen Reilly continued to be a strong support to the team with 34 assists. Dani Busboom Kelly spoke about the Nebraska volleyball team's victory and shared her elation at being able to win the Big Ten title for the third consecutive time. She expressed how the team has undergone its fair share of struggles in the past and emerged stronger with every season.
"Of course, we're fired up to win a share of that, but this team just has much bigger goals, so maybe not as excited as this group's been in the past, but now its a huge accomplishment, but there was a time when we didn't win one for a while, and here we are three in a year row. So, I'm just proud of this group to continue what they started, and I'm proud that I got to be a part of it and continue to be a part of what they started," she said.Busboom Kelly expressed her pride in being able to lead the team and hoped to push them to greater heights in the volleyball season.
