The Washington Wizards have been the worst team in the league so far, struggling with a 3-20 record. The Indiana Pacers are also having a forgettable season, however, their situation is slightly better.

Without Tyrese Haliburton, the Pacers have found it difficult to stay consistent on the offensive end. Indiana currently holds a 6-19 record and sits 14th in the Eastern Conference, but there have been some positive signs recently.

Before their latest loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, the Pacers clinched back-to-back wins against the Chicago Bulls on Dec. 5 and the Sacramento Kings on Dec. 8.

The two teams first met each other on Nov. 28, with Indiana cruising to a convincing 119-86 win. Wizards’ Alex Sarr delivered an impressive 24-point performance, but it was not enough to keep his team competitive. Pascal Siakam and Bennedict Mathurin led the way for the Pacers, combining for 44 points and 19 of the team’s 48 made field goals.
