Kanye West has denied the ongoing rumor that one of his tracks, What I Would've Said at Virgil's Funeral," was ghostwritten. The track features on West's unreleased album, WAR, in collaboration with James Blake.

In an X post dated December 30, Kanye West quoted a post from a user @GoodA*sSub, who shared an alleged screenshot where rapper Albe Back claimed to have ghostwritten Virgil's Funeral. Ye said of the claim:

"This is not real."

What I Would've Said at Virgil's Funeral, often referred to as Always, is not ghostwritten by Albe Back. It is officially credited to be composed by Kanye West and James Blake. However, it is unclear whether Ye's post meant the screenshot was not real or the claim was false.

After Ye's denial. Albe Back took to Instagram and took a supposed dig on the rapper, as he wrote:

"Must of been a slow news day. But I'll pass a poly for sure."

Kanye West did not back down and quoted Back's post once again to deny that he wrote Virgil's Funeral. West wrote:

"Ask James Blake. The whole album that leaked is made from freestyles that I did with James over his beats. You can tell because there’s missing words. The melody is super special when I sing “always”."

The song has not been officially released and was reportedly composed back in 2022. However, it was leaked, and Ye and James Blake have admitted they worked on it back in those years as a part of the unreleased album, WAR.

According to TMZ, Kanye West reunited with his ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, to spend the Christmas holidays with their four children. The former couple are parents to North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. The report further claims that the exes remained cordial with each other for the sake of their children.

West has been spotted in Los Angeles along with his current wife, Bianca Censori, multiple times this month. The rapper's children live in the city, and Ye and Censori were also spotted taking them out in the holiday season. The couple were notably spotted taking Ye's youngest kids, Chicago and Psalm, to Disneyland’s California Adventure.

The TMZ report further claims that Kanye West has been "working on himself” to change his "outlandish behavior" earlier this year, which drew widespread criticism from parts of the industry and fans. Ye made controversial posts on X, including comments hurled at Kim Kardashian. He also claimed that Kim or the "Kardashian mob" did not let Ye see the children.

However, Kardashian has since then denied such rumors about West. Earlier this year, she appeared on Alex Cooper's Call Her Daddy podcast, where she opened up about the co-parenting relationship she shares with the rapper. She said:

"What do you think co-parenting with Kanye West is like?…. It’s not easy. I mean, I raise the kids, you know, full time. They live with me. I welcome a great healthy relationship with my kids and their dad, and I think he knows that. I push for it all the time, but I also protect them when it’s time for that. And it goes in waves and phases and it’s a lot of work."

The SKIMS founder continued:

"But like I said earlier, I have the best memories and the best relationship, you know, with my dad. And even like, I love that, you know, I see Tristan puts, you know, their kids to bed every night and takes them to school every day when he’s not, you know, in season. So I just welcome healthy relationships, but it’s not easy."

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West officially divorced in 2022 after eight years of marriage.
