Warriors' Stephen Curry makes six-word trade statement after Giannis Antetokounmpo news

Giannis Antetokounmpo dominated the NBA headlines on Wednesday.

ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that the Milwaukee Bucks superstar forward is on the trade market for the first time in his career, as the franchise is hearing trade offers for the two-time MVP.

Following Charaina’s report, many immediately pointed to the Warriors as a potential landing spot for Antetokounmpo. As a result, hypothetical trade proposals involving Antetokounmpo and the Warriors were created by optimistic journalists.

Following the news surrounding the Bucks’ ex-NBA Finals MVP, Warriors star Stephen Curry made a logical six-word trade statement.

"I don't ever get into hypotheticals,’’ Curry told reporters after the Warriors’ dominant 16-point victory over the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night.

Curry has the right idea as it relates to made-up trade scenarios involving game-changing assets. Until a deal is finalized, there’s no reason for a player like Curry to make himself crazy thinking about what could happen.

The only thing Curry should focus on is continuing to lead the Warriors’ offense to the best of his ability, which hasn’t been an issue for the four-time NBA champion thus far.

Curry, who’s coming off a 27-point performance against the Jazz, is averaging 27.3 points per game on 46.8% field goal shooting and 39.0% three-point shooting as Golden State’s generational No. 1 scoring option.

Curry’s production moving forward should remain the same whether or not Antetokounmpo joins the fold.
