Meet Davante Adams' ride-or-die wife Devanne

Long before Davante Adams became one of the NFL’s most respected wide receivers, Devanne Adams was already part of the picture. Their relationship didn’t begin under stadium lights or on draft night—it started quietly, on a college campus in California, years before the league ever came calling.

According to People, Davante and Devanne (née Villarreal) met in 2012 while attending Fresno State University. At the time, Adams was building his résumé as a standout for the Bulldogs, but the future was still unwritten. Two years later, when he heard his name called in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers, Devanne was right there for the transition. She marked the moment simply, posting “Green Bay it is!!” after his selection.

As Adams’ career took off, the couple kept their relationship largely grounded and private. That approach carried into their engagement in 2017, when Davante proposed during a trip to the Bahamas. They married the following summer, tying the knot on June 23, 2018, in Pebble Beach, California. Devanne shared glimpses of the ceremony on social media, including her Vera Wang wedding dress, while the newlyweds later traveled to Greece for their honeymoon.

Family has remained at the center of their life together. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Daija Leigh, in September 2019. A second daughter, Dezi Lynn, arrived in April 2022, and in August 2024, the Adams family grew again with the birth of their son, Drayson. On Mother’s Day in 2025, Devanne reflected on the journey, writing that she felt “beyond blessed to walk this journey of motherhood.”
