Over the past 12 hours, we have heard several reports surrounding the future of Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Mike Evans.
Some have said the Pro Bowler is less than a 50-50 shot to return to the NFC South franchise, while others think he will play, just on a different team.
Of course, when these "rumors" start flying around, it is important to get your information from people who know the team or player well.
One such person is ESPN's Jenna Laine, and she posted on X that nothing has been spoken about regarding Evans' future.
"Regarding Mike Evans: Those close to him whom I have spoken with today say he hasn’t talked about his immediate future," Laine posted. "He hasn’t talked to the team about this either. None of those conversations have happened."

Evans' future down to two options
Of course, there is a world where Evans goes to another team in search of a Super Bowl ring, but that doesn't feel like an "Evans move." We could be wrong, though, as it is the NFL.
In all likelihood, there are two options that we think could happen.
One is retire as a franchise great. The other is to go around one more time with the Buccaneers and Baker Mayfield.
We are at the point in the offseason where "reports" and "rumors" are flying off the shelves, and it won't be stopping anytime soon.
And Evans appears to be a hot topic of discussion.
