Warriors fans are getting excited about a Giannis Antetokounmpo trade that might not happen.
Golden State has been mentioned as a possible destination for the nine-time All-Star since news broke that he's ready for a new home, but some fans believe he's already a Warrior.
That's thanks to some viral social media posts that make it seem as though the trade is basically a done deal.

Is Giannis Antetokounmpo going to be traded to the Warriors?
The Warriors are a team to watch in the Antetokounmpo sweepstakes, but there's been no reporting indicating that it's a done deal.
The latest from ESPN's Shams Charania is that the Warriors are among the most active suitors for Antetokounmpo, along with the Heat, Knicks and Timberwolves, and the Bucks are in the process of submitting counteroffers.
That hasn't stopped some on X from sharing either misleading or fake posts to get Warriors fans excited.
A post from parody account @KlayForTrey showed Antetokounmpo at "San Francisco International Airport with his wife."
The issue? The photo appears to be from 2021, when Antetokounmpo returned to Greece after winning the championship, not February 2026.

A different user claimed they saw Antetokounmpo in Chicago and asked him if he was flying to San Francisco. They claim Antetokounmpo said, "I don't know, man, you're gonna find out soon," but there's been no reporting on the Bucks star catching a flight to San Francisco.
Some posts also claim Antetokounmpo has already bought property on the West Coast.
@TheWarriorsTalk claims Antetokounmpo bought a real estate property worth $450,000. The post has almost half a million views on X despite there being no confirmation that he has done so.
Parody account @KlayForTrey is once again fooling Warriors fans, this time claiming Antetokounmpo bought a penthouse in California worth $5 million.
