The Voltaic Shade Primary Scout Rifle comes from the new Equilibrium Dungeon in Destiny 2. This Blaster weapon shoots out Arc damage to targets, and falls under the Balanced Heat archetype, grating a fine footing between heat generation, damage output, and venting.

Having a long-range Arc weapon is also beneficial in the endgame, as the elemental type comes with powerful buffs and debuffs that can be triggered easily from a distance against challenging foes.

• Arrowhead Brake for increased Handling and reduced recoil.
• Light Heatsink for increased Handling and reload speed.
• Jolting Feedback for inflicting Jolt debuff on a target after sustained hits.
• Precision Instrument for increased precision damage with sustained precision hits.

The perks mentioned above should set you up against powerful combatants in endgame activities. However, for clearing enemy groups faster, go with Voltshot in the fourth column, or Rolling Storm for a Bolt Charge strike.

• Smallbore for increased Range and Stability.
• Projection Fuse for increased Range.

Desperate Measures is a decent damage perk, alongside Frenzy and Precision Instrument in the fourth column.

Voltaic Shade drops from the Equilibrium Dungeon, specifically from the opening and the Harrow encounters. If you have the weapon unlocked, there is a chance for it to drop from secret chests as well.
