Maxx Crosby chose to honor his daughter by wearing special pink colored cleats in Week 15 against the Philadelphia Eagles. However, the NFL wasn't a fan of the star edge rusher's choice.

While speaking on "The Rush Podcast", Crosby explained why he had to take the cleats off early in the game.

"The NFL was crying and forced me to take my shoes off represent my daughter out there, and it says Ella on the front of them. They're freaking cold. So I was like, I'm wearing them regardless of what they say, I'll take the fine. I don't care."

"I noticed my guy, Nico, one of our equipment guys, is on the sideline, and he's literally holding the white cleats under his arm. I went up to Nico. I'm like, what they're b**ching about it?"

"And he was like, 'well, they're gonna take you out the game if you don't change your cleats.' I said, I'm finishing this drive."

Crosby finished the drive by sacking Jalen Hurts before taking off the cleats and swapping them for the white colored ones brought on the sidelines. The Raiders would go on to lose the game, thereby dropping to 2-12 for the season.

Crosby shares a close relationship with his daughter, and he wasn't best pleased with the league's decision to mandate a cleat change. It remains to be seen whether he finds another creative way to honor her on the gridiron.

Maxx Crosby and the Raiders are up against the Houston Texans in Week 16

Maxx Crosby's Raiders have long been eliminated from playoff contention. The Raiders are on an eight-game losing streak and are one of the worst-performing teams in all of football. Up next is a matchup against the playoff-chasing Houston Texans.

The Texans (9-5) are fresh off a Week 15 win over the Arizona Cardinals. They're picking up form at the business end of the regular season, and still have a chance of finishing atop the AFC South. C. J. Stroud and Co. will fancy their chances against an out-of-sorts Raiders.

Maxx Crosby and the Las Vegas Raiders are enduring a nightmarish 2025 campaign. The franchise is rooted to the bottom of the AFC West, and will likely have a Top 5 pick in the 2026 NFL draft.
