Indiana Fever fans are sick of the rate of fouls being called on Caitlin Clark and her teammates — and now the team's Coach Stephanie White has revealed she's a little sick of it, too.
White unleashed on WNBA refs while speaking to reporters following the Fever's nail-biter 90-88 loss to the New York Liberty Saturday. "I think it's pretty egregious what's been happening to us the last few games. A minus 31 free throw discrepancy. And I might be able to understand it if we were just chucking threes, but we're not," she began.
"We're attacking the rim and the disrespect right now for our team has been pretty unbelievable. So it's disappointing that it doesn't go both ways or hasn't gone both ways. But we also can't allow that to consume us, right?"

The team will continue to fight on she added. "We've got to be able to control the things that we can control. I felt like at times our late game execution was good ... Yeah, I mean, look, there's a system to making sure that we can send stuff in and communicate our grievances, so to speak. I don't know that I ever feel like the system works. We're not looking for a change. We're just looking for consistency."
This was the second game in a row that Clark ended with five fouls, just one short of being benched for the game — and she isn't the only player on the team who has had several fouls called against her.
The Fever will next play the Washington Mystics in D.C. on May 28.
