Victor Wembanyama has been good for the San Antonio Spurs in their Western Conference Finals vs the Oklahoma City Thunder. He has been a rock-solid player for the Spurs in his first-ever postseason run, but he believes there is a lot of room for improvement.
As the superstar player for the Spurs, Wembanyama is the main man in head coach Mitch Johnson's system. While that is the case, Wemby knows his team can be better if he gets them more involved as a leader.
Victor Wembanyama admits he can do better at getting more from his teammates
The Spurs have done well to match the Thunder across all three games. However, Game 3 was not a good look for the Spurs as they held a 15-point lead early, but eventually lost by 15.
OKC turned it up in the third quarter, as San Antonio could not break the 10-point deficit for a long time. Wembanyama himself knows he could have done better, especially when it comes to helping his teammates thrive.

San Antonio can do much better because they have a talented team outside of Wembanyama. He had 26 points to lead the Spurs, while Devin Vassell had 20.
However, the rest of the team could improve, especially Sixth Man of the Year Keldon Johnson, who only scored 5 points in 12 minutes.
"I feel like I have trouble making my teammates better right now. It's what I should be doing better; my shooting splits are not terrible. I need to be more of a team player," Wembanyama said after losing Game 3 to the Thunder.
At the same time, Wemby did have a significant drop-off with his rebounding in Game 3. He only managed to grab four rebounds, which are not promising numbers, so getting his teammates involved and generating better possessions with rebounds will be a good start in their comeback bid.
