NORMAN, Okla. -- Oklahoma coach Brent Venables said receiver Trell Harris will be out "for the foreseeable future" after suffering an abdominal injury against Michigan.
Harris, a transfer from Virginia, saw early success this season as a deep threat to take pressure off star receiver Isaiah Sategna. He caught two passes for 61 yards, including a 48-yard touchdown grab, in the season opener against UTEP.
Against Michigan, he caught four passes for 43 yards. Through two games, he’s second on the team in receptions and yards.

Alleyne caught a touchdown pass against Michigan, a 22-yarder from John Mateer.
“He might have been the most productive guy all spring,” Venables said.

Thomas is practicing with the starters now and is listed as a possible starter at the X spot along with Parker Livingstone.
Venables likes Thomas' speed and upside potential.
“Elijah Thomas … is one of our most explosive guys,” Venables said. “We’ve got to get him involved more than he is, and the more he plays ... he'll have a great opportunity to expeditiously be detailed up and be ready to go.”
Venables said Manny Choice and freshman Daniel Odom also could be depended on more.
There also could be more action for tight end Rocky Beers, who leads the team with eight catches for 137 yards and a touchdown.
